Tobikomi - ALTER EGO (Nintendo SNES/SFC Cover Version 2)

I originally covered this song back in 2020 using OpenMPT and SNESMOD. At the time, I had to forego using the DSP echo as well as having to take out a sample in order for the song to fit within the 64kb of space for SNESMOD to convert it to SPC. In 2024, I decided to port this song over to Furnace specifically to make use of a few things Furnace's SNES system has over SNESMOD. Namely, the wavetable synthesizer feature. This allowed me to replicate the PWMesque instruments Tobikomi used in his original song (he used the sawtooth+inverted sawtooth+detune technique whereas I used two pulse widths and the "wipe" setting in the wavetable synthesizer to achieve this). I also converted a sample to wavetbale, and ported over few of the wavetables from Tobi's original song for the "Metal Drum" instrument, which meant that four samples were eliminated. The rest of the melodic samples were replaced entirely. Doing this did allow me to add the open hi-hat sample back in to my cover along with using the DSP echo as I originally intended back in 2020. Also, the name of this song should not be confused with a ZX Spectrum homebrew game of the same name.
