7th July 2020 was not a good day for LNER. 67006 sat in Doncaster with the 5Y12 to haul failed 91114 to Bounds Green, but it failed to leave at the scheduled time of 10:10.
Then it transpired that 91106 had failed at Hambleton South Junction with the 1E04 service from Edinburgh to Kings Cross. 67028 was the Kings Cross Thunderbird loco which headed north to replace 67006, but in the event, both were in Doncaster at the same time.
Meanwhile, the 1E04 was rescued by ROG class 47 47815, hauling its first scheduled passenger train for a long while. At Doncaster, 47815 was removed and replaced by 67028 to form the 5G04 to Bounds Green.
In this video, 67028 hauling DVT 82214, set BN15 and 91106 is seen climbing Gamston Bank just south of Retford on the ECML after being looped into platform 1 at Retford to allow an Azuma to pass.
