Hi,This is excel magic channel. In this channel we share different type of excel tips.In this video how to use ABS function in excel#excel #exceldataanalytics #exceltips #ABS #absolute

The ABS function in Excel calculates the absolute value of a number by converting negative numbers to positive numbers and leaving positive numbers unchanged. The formula for the ABS function is: ABSOLUTE Value = ABS(number).

Here are some examples of how to use the ABS function:

=ABS(2): Returns the absolute value of 2, which is 2

=ABS(-2): Returns the absolute value of -2, which is 2

=ABS(A2): Returns the absolute value of the number in cell A2

=ABS(A1-A2): Returns the absolute value of the result of the calculation A1-A2

The ABS function can be used with a literal number, a cell reference, or an expression that results in a number.

The ABS function can be useful for calculating total distance traveled, for example. If a train travels 5 miles away and then returns, the total distance traveled is 10 miles. To calculate this, you would use the absolute value of all distance traveled, rather than adding -5 to +5, which would result in 0 miles.
