We live in a culture that tells people how to not become victims:
Don't look sexy
Don't wear makeup, tight clothing, short skirts, or high heels
Don't go out at night alone
Don't smile at strangers
Don't draw "unwanted attention"
Don't go to parties
Don't drink
Don't be a woman
NO
The victim blaming has to stop

**Approximately two-thirds of rapes were committed by someone known to the victim**
**1 out of every 6 American women has been the victim of attempted or completed rape in her lifetime**
**Only 60% of sexual assault cases are reported**

And of those cases where arrests are made, 15 of 16 rapists will walk free
& yet, I can't.
