Its floods and earthquakes everywhere simultaneously!

I guess nobody told them their street was built over Coopers Creek. With the sudden amount of rain, the creek swelled and pooled in that nice cul de sac like a swimming pool. Probably clogged up drainage somewhere. According to the map that creek also runs under Coopers Creek Pl and 2 areas of Coopers Creek Dr.

Cobb County notoriously has these flash floods throughout the year. They haven’t found a decent solution in the last 5yrs.

Keep on building and it will keep on flooding. No area for the water to go. This is the end result. This is damn near everywhere I've seen in the US

Atlanta NEVER flooded 40 years ago. Wow.

As for the interstate, it appears they built that low area of the feeder lanes over top of Long Island Creek. I guess nobody thinks that these creeks will flood after developing and covering the ground with thousands of acres of asphault and concrete. Be expecting more of this when hard rains come through. You probably should carry a bag with supplies in it for these types of emergencies. I call mine a get home bag.

Flooding always happens on the westside of town whenever real rain comes through. It's been this way for as long as I can remember.
