people question the capabilities of carbon composite to withstand impacts/crashes as if the aluminum alternative has the strength of steel or some metal of that sort. aluminum is really not a tough metal. it's light as hell, which is why it's been used in aircraft. 
carbon composites are if anything orders of magnitude stronger than aluminum and really don't change anything about an aircraft but make it more lightweight and perhaps even more corrosion resistant. formula one drivers among others have been using carbon fiber monocoque construction to withstand 200+ mph impacts with concrete barriers for quite some time.

I don't care how many people want to take sides with Airbus or Boeing.. the fact is, their latest offerings (A350 vs. Dreamliner etc.) Look so alike.. right down to the windshield design etc. I'm talking pure aesthetics here.. it's so funny through history how competing manufacturers aircraft look so alike model to model.

Airbus is a better aircraft manufacturer and there innovative style are light years ahead  of anything Boeing has to offer period, put a stamp on it!!

For me, Boeing's prettiest ever jet was the 757. This plane is very much on a theme. Nice looking indeed, Unlike the 380 which really needs a new face. come on !

Boeing 787-9 looks better (more aerodynamic). I am concerned about the crash dynamics of any plane (external airframe) made from composites rather than an Aluminum outer body shell.

The A350's windshield looks very similar to the 787 Dreamliner.
