G1 Micromaster Rocket Base Countdown Transformers Review

I won this set in the 89 Christmas issue of the Marvel UK comic. It was issue 250 and the only competition where they didn't list the names of the winners.

I think I may have the letter they sent me with it. I still have the base in good condition.

Im a huge sucker for transforming bases and this base is awesome! Way too expensive for my parents though 😂

i bought one last month at the flea market in it's ratty box, for $20. The bag of parts was never opened. It's beautiful.

I'm really unfamiliar with this whole era of Transformers, and am just now starting to delve in and check these guys out. I'm totally clueless about the lore, so I'm excited, and lucky to have more.. much more than meets the wallet, to discover. lol, liked that last line there. Anyways. is it me, or is this dude begging for the modern "hey, what if these guys could move and pose" treatment? I can see a pretty heavy retool of Titan Omega Supreme for him. Think the gen selects guardian. That's what made me think it'd work. I mean, lets face it, Titans are scaled for micromasters, not deluxe, or not even core class really, although they kinda work, but micro.. that's where it's at, and I'd say Omega really is about 30/40% there. Take some of the Siege base former parts, and BOOM! A super badass new version of this dude. That's worth dropping Archer a tip I think.I know this is 7 years old, but I saw this dude's pic in the visual history book, searched it, and your video caught my eye first, so here I am. I'll give ya a sub and some likes.

I had this, great toy though o snapped off a red plug when pulling off the the seat thing, it was pretty tight, was worried that yours was about to do it - I am pretty gentle with it now (different one)!

if you had the shuttle (can't remember his name off hand ) along with the space and space combiner team and add in the star saber team(armada and energon) and Requiem blaster team(armada) that would be one hell of a Micromaster(minicon) set up heck add armada Jetfire w/orbitor minicon if you ever do that set up please post a video displaying it ...also do a con version of the same sets to set a staged battle

With Titan Metroplex in mind, would be interesting if Hasbro made this in their Titans Return line.

I ended up building a Lego version of it earlier. It was better than having to pay out the butt for a complete Rocket Base.
