I Sold @onelonleyfarmer a New Great Plains 2400 TurboMax!

When you work in agriculture (whether you're a farmer or a dealership), you never know what each day will bring - where you will go, what you will do, or who you will meet. This fall season, I've had the pleasure of working with long-time YouTuber @onelonleyfarmer himself, Mr. Wes Pandy, on a deal for a new Great Plains 2400 TurboMax vertical tillage machine. He plans to use it year-round as a "mechanical cow", which will help to "rough up" the first 1-1.5" of soil and residue for planting his cover crops.

Two months ago, he called the dealership where I work, and was looking to price out a new 24' TurboMax to pull behind his John Deere 8530. I visited him and his wife Theresa on the farm, checked out his fields and some of the units he wanted to trade, and we worked out a deal on a new 2400TM which we had in stock. He picked it up at our store in Middletown, DE with his Ford F-550 (7.3 Powerstroke/ZF-6 combo for the win), and hauled it home to New Jersey last week. A few days later, we came down to the farm to get the new TurboMax set up and adjusted for his field conditions, and get it out in the field for the first time. This video features some of the video clips I took that afternoon while we were breaking in that new green paint - you will see us adjusting the hydraulic pressure acting on the implement itself, as well as setting the proper flowrate (from the tractor) - all necessary steps to take when setting up a piece of tillage equipment and putting it out in a new field.

Your very lucky. He has a great channel. Up in the hills of Hurterdon county. Definely cool doing business with him. That F550 7.3 power sounds great on his video pulling it dispite the fact of the throw out bearing while putting in gear.

Michael, are you still in New Jersey? I am in Pa and I am a chemical engineer. After I was run over 18 months ago on my 1957 Harley Panhead by a Ford F350 I decided that I am starting a welding/fabrication and machining business . Right now I am swamped with repairs on some engine drive welders. I am currently rebuilding a Lincwelder 225, then a Weldanpower 150, a bobcat 250 goal is to set up a machine shop that is run by steam with the belts and things from the 1800's. I would love to talk to you sometime. We will be doing mobile welding as soon as I get the welding rig built as well. Congratulations on the sale my friend.
