I've had to change the whole way I was applying my Foundation. Everytime I put foundation on, it was so cakey and I was always blaming it in on the foundation, but I came to grips that it was me.
I was putting on way too much. I was putting on 2, to 3 even 4 pumps. Now I'm putting on maybe 1 to 1 1/2 pumps. I'm getting a much better performance now. I really happy.
I also changed the sponge I'm using. I'm using the stands out sponge.

Hi Lauren I have very dry, rosacea and eczema prone skin, but the constant mask wearing meant my foundations were not covering the redness eg Mac F&B. I turned to an old favourite from pre menopause that I remembered stayed on really well - the Lancome teint idole (in shade 008/091 which is an excellent colour match for me). It looks it's best over a hydrating primer on my skin, but it stays on all day and doesn't dry me out like most longwear foundations do. I can apply with fingers or a sponge (I don't use/like a brush, as it can be too much like a manual exfoliation on my delicate skin) and covers the redness/rosacea. I can build it for a bit of extra coverage in some areas of extra redness. I don't have to powder it, but it still lasts through wearing a mask for me. I do have all my layers of skincare and spf underneath to keep my skin hydrated.
I like the born to glow, but it doesn't survive mask wearing on me. Neither does the bare minerals complexion rescue (another old favourite). Most days I'm wearing the Lancome tbh as I have confidence it is still on my face - rather than on the mask. I have a lot of difficulty finding a shade match and most of the ones mentioned aren't available in actual stores near me - it's impossible to shade match online when you're as pale/cool toned as I am. Most brands don't carry a shade match for me anyway, which does limit my choices. Here in the UK you can't return opened/used/swatched makeup, so seeing the shades in person and getting a sample is essential. Ordering unseen foundations online is very risky for that reason and can be an expensive mistake. I will try to get a sample of the born this way (although from memory their shades looked quite warm toned) and the IT cosmetics. Best wishes.

Girl on recommendation, I tried the Old Cover Girl Advanced ageless liquid Foundation airless pump. Funny its at the dollar store. Don't take me wrong I have 42 foundations and its more high end foundation. I thought I didn't need another foundation . Oh My Glam, YES I DID Its A five star !!!!

I've been using the leveler primer by beauty blender, it works so well! And I don't usually like pore perfecting primers. I've been trying a lot of foundations lately and I actually like nyx total control pro, in confirmation with the primer

This is my 1st time coming across you and I found it so funny because of I've my name on here and your name. I literally was just searching for someone who had normal to dry skin and could recommend some foundations and I stumbled across you ♡ Do you happen to have a dedicated video to primers? Because I would love to know which primers you like to pair with these. We are the same age too! The 1st foundation I ever fell in love with was it was the it CC cream and then I kind of moved away from it. I cannot believe I have not tried that NYX because I own so much from the brand. I will definitely be picking it up tomorrow I did hear great things about the concealer but I think it was the hemp nyx one, I could be wrong.
