Western Blotting Part 2: 10 X TBS buffer preparation

TRIS-buffered saline (10X) is utilized as a washing solution for electrodes and western blotting membranes without disturbing antigene antibody interactions. It also works as a pH stabilizer, allowing washing without affecting antibody-antigen binding affinity. Concentrated TBS (10X) can be prepared in the laboratory and stored at room temperature for more than a year. To make 1X TBST, dilute it into 1X TBS buffer and add 1% tween 20.
