I have a golden rule for myself where I never watch videos like these on YouTube as they are always out of date and just a load more issues than it is worth. I did both the node and node projects and I converted them into TS so spent around 20+ hours learning from John. One thing I think that sets this teacher apart is the mistakes are left in there. Like I can see h puts a ; inplace of a, and then it errors. Not only do you get to see what the error would be but more so you see how he notices and fixes it. I find most of these videos like this are super scripted. They are just re-reading though the code that they know it already works and therefore don't tend to show any scope for movement or errors. I know not doing this would take a lot of time. But, I think by doing it like John does, it feels more real and you feel like you are truly learning. I don't know maybe this way of teaching resonates with me. Also the pace is on point. I will be recommending this channel to friends as one of the few I trust to learn things from. Keep up the awesome work.
