PV 1 Static Hot Fire Test 1

The inaugural hot-fire test of the Aerospace Systems Research Group's PV-1 hybrid rocket motor, combusting nitrous oxide and paraffin wax. The PV-1 motor has been developed to propel the Phoenix-1A launch vehicle, which will be the first sounding rocket produced by ASReG. The test took place at the University of KwaZulu-Natal's Howard College campus in Durban, South Africa on Tuesday, 6 August, 2013.
