My name is Lily Meade and I love books! I am an aspiring young adult author. I love reading (especially YA fiction, but I read adult and nonfiction, too!) and writing. I really love storytelling in any form. If there is a great story, I'm all in.

Send me a letter and I'll send you one back!

My thanks to the agents who have been so straight-forward about their profession. They gave writers the tips most of us have not heard before and urged us to do a professional job in our applications. They are highly committed young people with a great deal to commend them for their talent, honesty and generosity.

Did anyone else notice, @ 1:14:04, it looks like Piper Chapman, Alex Vause and Ruby Rose all decided to make an appearance?

Question: I have around 20 queries out on an MG project as of 2 weeks ago. Since those were sent, I dove into getting reviews (Readers’ Favorite (x5), Kirkus, Self Published Review, Online Book Club, BookLife). The first review came back as 5 stars today. If most or all come back glowing, is that a worthy basis to nudge agents with an update specifically touting all of those reviews?

I am confused, if they say to email them for a query letter, then say they will reject it if it comes to their inbox... what kind of hedge maze are they growing here?

so you say.. sound appalling. you need to take a feed from the mixer/amp, shame as wanted to watch this but it takes more than sticking a camera on a tripod (although gold star for that) to make a programme worth watching and listening to....

The sound is terrible. I can't understand the cackly voices.

These "ladies" are so egotistical and obnoxious. This is my second try at watching a video with them and I am shocked they have jobs. I have never watched panels with authors like this. Wonder why there are so many great books that get rejected so often? This is WHY!
