Quick tip: How to Connect a Logitech Mouse to a Unifying Receiver

Here's a quick tutorial on how to connect a Logitech mouse or keyboard to a PC, using the Unifying receiver dongle.

How are you supposed to do all this, if you don't have a working mouse yet? Kind of like if there was an instructional blu-ray on how to setup a blu-ray player for the first time.

It's better to install the official Logi Options+, which handle all your Logitech devices, including the Unifying Receiver.

Do you only have to do this once? Can I remove the USB and plug in it somewhere else and we are good to go? Or do I have to download the application all over again?

What if I have only wireless mouse and keyboard? I mean my system is out and I have only wireless/buetooth option.

there is no software for later versions of Mac OS 14.5, so this didn't work for my keyboard even though I have a logitech unifying receiver that i bought from Amazon, this is the 2nd pair I purchased that didn't work, I think they are knock offs-

This Logitech unifying receiver unfortunately doesn't connect to a Logitech left-handed mouse.

This is the only thing that fixed my mouse. Logitech should stop making software so over complicated with its unifying receivers. They should include the software built into the mouse.

It's great when things work the way that they're supposed to, but mine didn't. Should Logitech recievers work with any Logitech keyboard\mouse, or are they unique to the the keyboard\mouse that they came with? I have a MK320 keyboard/mouse combo that's missing its reciever that I'm trying to get working. I have nine recievers with Logitech's name on them. I am using the Logitech connection utiltiy. The connection utility does not recognize over half of the recievers as even being Logitech, even though the recievers have Logitech's name on them. I'm on the verge of NEVER buying anymore wireless Logitech keyboard or mouse again.
