You needed scarecrows. At around 30 minutes: You were getting $10 per wool yet spending $12 per sheep. You were losing $2 every time a sheep was made & the birds were carrying away 1, 200 of your sheep at a time. Every bird swarm you were spending $14, 400 just to replace the eaten sheep + losing an extra $2, 400 from sheep being $2 more then the wool sold for.
