Hey guys! Quin Sama here!

What we are going to comment below are speculations and theories of fans, as well as my personal opinion, nothing confirmed by the author of the work.

Let's put on the table three possible options as to who this strange person could have been.

Grappler Baki (Japanese: グラップラー刃牙,Hepburn: Gurappurā Baki), known as Baki the Grappler in North America, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Keisuke Itagaki. It was originally serialized in Weekly Shōnen Champion from 1991 to 1999 and collected into 42 tankōbon volumes by Akita Shoten. The story follows teenager Baki Hanma as he trains and tests his fighting skills against a variety of different opponents in deadly, no rules hand-to-hand combat.

It was just the start of my favorite joke in the Baki series: People showing up on Yujiro's apartment, fooling him and then running away while he throws a tantrum on the corridor. It's so damn funny.

Yujiro is so strong, he had to use schizophrenia to make a worthy opponent

Yuijiro travelled time and trolled himself. To just get the feeling of being badass by trolling the great YUIJIRO HANMA

Why its Yuichiro:
1. He is the only one who can overpower Yujiro
2. He did what every parent do, call him his full name
3. The same smoke appeared in his fight with Baki

Another possible dude: goki shibukawa

Motobe was styling on Yujiro to keep him humble. As it is known, he is a tier above everyone else.

Spin D. Door, the most dangerous man in the Baki Verse.
Was in 1 chapter, didn't even show himself, trolled the Yujiro Hanma, disappears and never revealed, giga chad at its peak.

I like the idea that its just an extremely powerful unknown person, testing to see if Yujiro was a worthy opponent.

Honestly, Yuichiro or even Yuichiro's spirit might be the most believable, even though Yujiro was weaker here, I just can't believe it was any other person was able to do this, especially since this is an older part of the manga, I highly doubt characters like Sukune would've even been thought of so long ago, but this just might be something we will never get to find out sadly

It was itagaki the author himself reminding yujiro he's the GOAT 😂😆

Low key that was his father's fighting spirit and I believe he did that as a way to humble Yujiro. Like you might be the strongest creature on Earth but there are beings far greater than you on the other side. Hints the door acting as a gate way between the pure land and the physical plain. Also why the spirit used Yujiro's full name.

The fact the door handle survived proofs that it is the strongest handle in their universe

I beleive the theory that it was Jack. Based on the power scaling at the time and what was going on in the series Jack makes the most sense.

It's practically confirmed in my eyes. Jack was matching all of Yujiro's feats just to prove that he was similar during his training. The series took a different turn but Jack during this entire arch always had Yujiros monstrous strength and immunity to martial arts tricks.

How cool would it be if yuichiro just showed up and got his own entire arc and took jack under his wing

If it's Yuichiro, he must have become some sort of monk and married Yujiro's mother. I mean, she is currently a priest working at a shrine, so even if he isn't around, that spiritual bit might become more pronounced and Baki could potentially have a spar with him right before the actual end of the series when he fights Yujiro again to beat him.

It could be one of Yujiros sons he doesn’t know about that has also awakened the demon on his back and has trained to the point of being serious competition for his father and went to test/ spook him. Yujiro is also keen enough to sense and recognize everyone’s fighting aura and how strong it is from a distance. But his son is able to mask it in such a way to throw him off because it’s weak and not a threat, then surprise him when his guard is down.

He was a very strong man who liked a good fight and heard Yujiro was called by many "the strongest on earth".
He did the door handle thing to test him, Yujiro disappointed him, so he expressed his frustration for wasting his time by hitting the door, and then left.

With the canon that's been established now, sure, it could've been Oliva or Jack messing with Yuujirou, but Itagaki's intent was definitely to have it be Kureha. The last page of the chapter has Tokugawa mention an incredible opponent for Baki, so it's not difficult to inference that the guy who just messed with Yuujirou would be Baki's opponent since Yuujirou already had Doppo lined up. As well, the next chapter has Kureha killing the tiger to hype him up.
Sure, Kureha would get his ass demolished by current Yuujirou, but Yuujirou's portray has gotten way stronger over time. Remember, Oliva used to be scene as a decent challenge to Yuujirou until he got utterly humiliated. So yeah, Itagaki's intent was Kureha, but it's fun to speculate other answers

That looks like a young Yujiro. Perhaps it was biscuit Oliver. Wasn't Oliver a Little bit stronger than Yujiro at a young age? Maybe he found out where he lived and just wanted to troll him and test out his strength a little bit and see if he improved.

I'm pretty sure that the obvious implication during this scene was that it was Kureha Shinogi, as this was right when they were hyping him up for his fight with Baki (and he had stated he wanted to challenge Yujiro). I don't think it's that the mangaka Itagaki Keisuke had plans to make Kureha some top-tier fighter, but rather that this early on in the series he hadn't quite figured out just how overpowered Yujiro was supposed to be compared to everyone else.

Maybe it was himself my theory is that his own spirit is even becoming to powerful for himself in a metaphoracal standerd of him not being able to reach the heights he's even setting for himself like a metaphoracal cap on his strength and another thing when yujiro asked who it's was it said yujiro hanma like he was answering the question
