This was a cute reaction. I’m sure you’d know a ton of Madonnas songs but probably just don’t know they’re hers. She was a huge star throughout most of the 80s and all of the 90s and then had a big comeback in like 2005 so yeah she’s earned big respect in the industry.

Not only was the performance iconic but the message was even more iconic! It was a clear criticism for MTV and US radio stations when the playlists were getting more and more narrow and only one certain kind of music and artists were getting airplay. And do you think it has gotten better? No.

So cudos to Madonna, Missy, Britney and Christina for speaking up! ❤️

Madonna was way iconic at this point. She emerged in the 80's but her status as legend and icon was already present by the early 90's. She has given some of the best VMA performances, and has some of the most iconic music videos ever, you when, when music videos were an art form. Madonna pushed boundaries, buttons, made it ok for women to embrace their sexuality.

Lourdes, Madonna's daughter is one of the flower girls. The picture quality was great when this came out because TVs and computers were designed for lower pixels. It looks bad today because TVs and computers required more pixels for display. You need to listen to Madonna's greatest hits. Her songs are epic.
