How to install a Window's based game using PlayOnLinux via CD

Here is another How To video. This video shows how to install a Window's based program via CD using PlayOnLinux, popular windows downloader/installer for linux, and creating the virtual drive and shortcuts needed for the game. I used "The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind" for this video. This is Mikal Harralson/Compwhiz443 and this is another How To video.

I had a problem with PlayonLinux. It would load, and I would press install, and the next window to install the game would disappear. I had to right click and press "maximize" or "raise" and the window would show. Now the game runs better than than on Windows 10. Awesome! Thanks.

very usefull, thanks, but, do you or anybody know how to do it when the program requires a cd not for install but to function after installing it. I have installed a program and needs a cd to work, I have copied the CD to a folder since I don't have a CD drive but wine doesn't seem to recognize it.

We need an updated video cuz this one is 9 years old. Also I'm specifically trying to get my games working gonnthe steam deck.

Por favor necesito ayuda, soy nueva con esto y no he podido encontrar la respuesta, al intentar instalar un juego en Playonlinux me dice que no se encontró el CD-ROM, también ví que debo bajar los scripts y los juegos en la página oficial pero no me deja, tocó instalar programa y me abre una nueva pestaña vacía, por favor alguien que me ayude con esto, necesito ayuda 😥

I have morrowind via steam...would this process work through steam? I have not a clue how to do any of what you just did. Maybe a more in depth of playonlinux, wine, and steam?
