How I think Women's Clothing Sizes Began

I have a feeling that when the fashion industry was coming up with how to size clothes for women, a meeting like this happened, and a maniac like Jenkins thought these ideas were good

This blew my husband's mind when he went shopping with me. He asked me what size I was and I told him it depended on the brand. He looked at me in utter confusion. And then had to explain that it doesn't matter what the pants say, what matters is the store you're in. We happened to be in a thrift store so I was able to prove my point by being able to fit into a size 8 with one brand and a size 12 with another (I'm 5'8 & 135 pounds for reference). He couldn't get over how insane it was.

Don't forget sizes are different not just between stores, but within the same store as well. For males, clothing is divided into mens for adults and boys for children. For females, you have obviously have girls, but for adults you have misses, petite, womens, juniors, etc. Because of that I once bought my sister a nice sweater for Christmas that didn't fit because i got it from the wrong department. It is an evil, evil thing to do to women and the men who try to go shopping for them.

That's the thing, we used to have pockets! Those pockets were huge too. Until around the 1920s/30s someone thought it was a good idea to get rid of them because "women don't need them, they have handbags." Yup, he bloody nailed it.

During my baby shower one of my aunts got me a maternity outfit set(a robe, nightgown, and cozy shoes) and I literally squealed in delight about the robe and nightgown both having deep pockets! Love her so much!
