I saw another clip on youtube featuring Ticha Penicheiro who previously held the record for assists in a rookie year. Right after Caitlin broke her record, Penicheiro congratulated Clark, because it shows that the women's game has improved and advanced over the years. That was an insightful and generous comment by that veteran baller. Records were meant to be broken. Players are stronger, in better shape, receive better coaching, and the expanding industry attracts better athletes.
