Diva Dance: The Impossible Performance from The Fifth Element at The Los Angeles Theatre (by SIREN)

In the opera song in The Fifth Element, composer Eric Sierra intentionally wrote difficult and un-singable parts to create an alien-like sound. When opera singer Inva Muls auditioned for the role, she was able to sing 85% of the technically impossible parts, with the remaining parts being edited in the studio.

The original singer from the movie said that these notes were to rapid to be humanly possible and yet I've seen a few professionals nail it except for that one literally impossible butterfly note.

That costume is pretty fucking rad, tho. And those moves? Better than the original. You managed to turn an alien performance into a very human experience. Great vibes, lady. You can really be proud of yourself.

You perform the ENTIRE piece amazingly. And you sing it correctly! You sing Ah's, Ha's, and Hah's...not just Ah's which lends to that synth sound and not just an operatic sound. Your tone is gorgeous as well!

The voice is beautiful, pity you didn't learn the lyrics to the 1st part ( from Lucia Di Lamermoor). and still no one has sung this better than Joan Sutherland.... The original aria is 16 minutes long with much harder music than Eric Serra's computerised version.

Not the worst, but also not the best version of this song. But the disrespectful and cheap looking "pole dancer" outfit to sing such a masterpiece... I just cannot comprehend who made that horrible decision. Yayks. What she wants to be liked for? Her singing talent or showing her body? She should make the decision the sooner, the better. She is fit, has a great body, but she can show it too in something worth one of the greatest songs of all. 🤗

Listen, she's good, has great control and range, but, no matter what, no one has been gifted with a better instrument than Dimash and that just can't be changed, even IF another singer could be more trained or dedicated than Dimash it couldn't account for the biology of his voice
