Alright so recently I was privileged enough to do a collaboration with the good people over at Timex and they sent me over this wonderful chrono from their Waterbury collection. Now i'm a huge fan of Timex from way back i actually bought this Timex Weekender chronograph about 5 years ago and it was one of my first watches. So I wanted to do a review on both watches and give you all some insight on this brand.

History of Timex

so Timex was established in 1854 in Waterbury ,Connecticut which is awesome because you dont see many watch companies with so much history come out of the states. The brand became huge when they were able to mass produce watches and it came to a point in time where every 3rd watch was from Timex. In 1992 they changed the face of time by adding their famous indiglo backlight. That being mentioned lets take a look into the features of these watches.

Features and Functions

Lets start with the weekender. As far as movement goes this is a quartz movement of course considering the price. This is your simple chronograph, you have your 3 dials here, top is to start, bottom to stop. you have the middle one to adjust time and what not and I find this to be an easy watch to change time on I have others that are annoying to change. one of the things that I love about these watches is just the simplicity of them and the way that they dont have all these fancy things on them in order to make them look good. The weekender that I have is 40mm and im pleased with the way that It looks on my wrist, I think if I were to get another I would go for a 38mm.

Now with the Waterbury I do want to say that its not that much different than the weekender and its more expensive, its $139. But I think that its because of the watch strap. The strap is by SB Foot Tanning Co. the same company that makes Red Wing Boots. The Waterbury becuase of the price has a better finish on the edges, has a better back and the dials are better as well.

How to style

Now you can wear these a lot of different ways, ill say that the Timex Waterbury Chronograph looks better with more dapper outfits, I wouldn't go too formal with these id say you can do a more smart look, a blazer shirt and some denim.
For the weekender you can really go casual anyway, were in the middle of fall so this watch would look great with some khakis and a sweater and maybe a vest. the versatility of these watches is just another attractive part of Timex.

The Weekender chronograph was one of my first watches with a blue dial and brown strap like that one. Just dont forget to pull the crown after use as you will find they tick loud at night to where you have to get up to fix the issue. Good video hermano!

The Waterbury also has a stainless steel case vs brass on the Weekender.

I own a Timex Command, Marlin (with Snoopy on the dial), and Q. I absolutely love my Timex Q, and the Marlin is awesome, too. I really like the Timex American Documents watches, but can't bring myself to pay $500 for a Timex quartz watch.
