My mother died on 03.06. this year from pancreatic cancer at the age of 66. She fought so hard to still see her first grandchildren and she managed and passed away two weeks after the last one was born, it was a miracle she deserved to see! Both my parents are ethnical Germans from Russia and my mom was in Samarkand in her childhood, I later found a handwritten notice of her mentioning Ludovico Einaudi and I saw this video. Sadly, we never made it to one of your concerts, but I love the thought that you played in the city of her childhood and then for her as a last goodbye on her funeral. Mille Grazie Ludovico Einaudi!

I was there. I was standing next to the camera that was filming him. I was only 10 meters away from his piano, and I had binoculars.

I will never, ever forget that day, that moment, for it was something I never dared dream of - and I was incredibly lucky to be in that place and at that time. The image of Ludovico selflessly playing the piano will forever remain in my heart.

My wish for you all is that you too will someday have a similarly incredible, stunning, delightful moment in your lives that you will remember forever.
