Thank you for this tutorial. It helped me solve a problem for making an electrode from an stl file that needed to be nurbs to make a curve from an intersection so I could extrude a straight part. So helpful!

Thank for the video. I'm a professional in reverse engineering. However, this method is not suitable for recognising surfaces with e.g. dimensioned radii. However, this is needed in technical objects that require high dimensional accuracy for industrial production. For visual objects that are required for games, for example, this works fine. It will probably take a few more versions for such properties to be recognised automatically. Even with V8 this does not yet work satisfactorily. Nevertheless, this function is also used by me. Good that gives it to us.

your mesh seems to be converted from a cad file so this is the reason the functions works fine; I would use a real scan data exported from a scanner software and retry.

How can we convert an mesh solid to an solid in order to save it as step cause now i only can save the geometry that i create as an stl file while i need it as step plz help me
