My guns must be broken because they haven't killed anyone.

Damn Colion.  Every time I watch one of your videos I think it's spot on, and I think now he's covered everything important, so there's no more to be said.  But then you find yet another angle...  Amazing.  Keep 'em coming.

You can protect yourself with a gun without killing like you shoot the guy he isn't dead and call 911. Also guns can be used just for fun like target shooting.

The gun-car debate is really this:

You have to qualify for a driver's license.  You need to register your car, and to insure it and have it regularly inspected.  And most importantly, your driving record is in a database accessible by the police, and if you have a criminal driving record, you cannot get a license.

In most states, the laws for owning and carrying guns are nowhere as strict.

And PS if anyone is going to respond with, "well people still drive illegally", then answer me why do we have traffic laws.

sanjurokurosawa: Driving a car on public roads is a privilege that can be revoked. The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, is an individual, incorporated right. That's "shall not be infringed..."

There's only one problem with this video. The most popular firearms on the market, including the single most popular genre, are in fact NOT 'designed to kill'! For the last couple of decades the most popular firearms, by far, have been handguns designed for concealed carry. Concealed carry handguns are designed specifically, not to kill, but to PROTECT the lives of their owners and their families!!! We also know that firearms of all types -- when in the hands of regular, everyday, law abiding Americans -- are used around 2, 000 times more often to protect a life and prevent an attack than they are used to take a life. Yes folks, that's two thousand times more likely to be used to save a life than to take a life, or roughly 2, 000, 000 saves to 11, 000 homicides, and a fairly significant number of those homicides are cases of justifiable self defense. (Of course this also leaves out the fact that the majority of the firearms sold by your local gun shop every year are specifically designed for hunting, competition and/or recreational shooting.)

So it seems to me that if 'guns are only designed to kill' the designers aren't very good at their jobs!

Colion, you didn't address the most common followup to the car analogy! Antigunners ALWAYS follow the car discussion up with, "well you need a license to drive a car...". Don't leave us hanging.

Self defense is an individual inherent right!

Guns were designed to kill?  I didn't know that!  I guess next time I read a gun designer's mind I should pay more attention.

Better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it.
