Does your company have an org chart?

I remember hiring my first few employees at Self Publishing School and then suddenly realizing there was mass confusion around who was responsible for what.

To bring order to the chaos, I learned that I needed to create an org chart.

There was only one problem: I had no idea what an org chart was…much less how to structure one for my company.

Besides not knowing how to create one, there are 2 big problems with org charts:
1. Most small companies don’t have them
2. They’re static, out-of-date, and not used

In this video, I show you how to create an org chart that works for YOUR company…and how to make sure it gets used.

I actually prefer to create an “Accountability Chart” instead of an org chart…but I’ll tell you about that in the video. ;)

Hi Chandler! I have a, maybe silly, question. Where do you assign Staff that works on more than one area. For example, my copywritter makes content for the marketing function, sales function and content function! Do I have to put her under the 3 functions or should I put her under one department?
