Hola Amigos!

Being stuck indoors and not being able to travel during this lockdown, I decided to see what was on offer on my doorstep. Armed with a bottle of water and my camera, I walk the 7 mile circular walk around Biggin Hill.

Biggin Hill is a town (actually still a village to many of the locals) on the outskirts of London and is famous for its airport which was one of the most important airfields during WW2.

Having a name like Biggin Hill, you will expect many hills, sharp inclines and slippery downhill slopes. Having recently had a covering of snow, the paths and fields were particulary muddy with large puddles.

I hope you enjoy this walk, please comment if you have done it before or are planning on doing it in the future.

Guten abend,

Lukey Luke xx

Interesting and thanks for the upload, I knew the area incredibly well as I was brought up there. It's amazing to see that at the 18:20 mark that the ancient footpath has been plowed over, incredible and such a shame. Those fields also used to be criss crossed with ancient hedgerows that the farmers ploughed up as well and those fields used to abound with lapwings and larks during the summer months. The copse at your left at the 18:20 mark is called Jerry Readings copse, I don't know why, but it is. Once again thanks for putting this up.

Eh mi amigo! Glad to report that I survived me covid attack and have just thoroughly enjoyed your latest post from your very boggy part of the world, it's a shame isn't it that so much of our military history and monuments are just left to fade into obscurity as though they had no significance... sad! Still keep em coming dear chap 👍
