The world's new offshore wind power capacity tripled to over 20 gigawatts worldwide in 2021, according to the Global Wind Energy Council. And China is responsible for the bulk of this expansion growth, as the country commissioned nearly 17 gigawatts of offshore wind capacity last year, or 80 percent of the total.

Didn’t Tesla invent a way to make free endless electricity? What happened to that? Surely free clean energy would help save the planet, no?

China should anyway be the largest producer of renewable electricity because they have way more people than the UK, Netherlands, and all those small countries this video was comparing them to. More people naturally means a country will use more electricity unless there is a severe disparity in living standards, like is the case in India. Regarding their last point, China made big efforts to become sufficient in their renewable technology, so its only fair that Europe and North America are now doingthe same. I'm sure China would love nothing more than to be the sole factory of the world that produces everything that everyone needs, and then pretend like that is win-win, but other countries have their own ideas of what winning means for them.
