Small Business Women Australia Founder Amanda Rose has said multinationals need to be “investigated” for raising supermarket prices.

Her remarks come after supermarkets, including Woolworths and Coles, have pushed blame onto suppliers for the price rises.

“We can’t validate whether they’re a problem or not,” Ms Rose told Sky News Australia.

“However, the supermarkets … they have an alternative here, which is the small and medium-sized businesses.”

Woolworths still doing it blatantly, yesterday I noticed at least half a dozen products that were cheaper 2 weeks ago but now more expensive with discounted price tags on pretending they were 20 percent cheaper.

I blame the politicians who supported global corporations owning Australia.

Misinformation?
We all know who is responsible for the high prices... just like we all know who is the real cause of the tobacco wars.

Playing the blame game won't bring prices down, the government gave the go ahead to ramp up the cost of living in line with the WEF agenda. VOTE ONE NATION 🇦🇺 PROBLEM SOLVED 👍

Hey Amanda, for your information BOTH Coles and Woolworths are 100% Australian companies, NOT multinationals (like Aldi).
And just who gives an F* that junk food like timtams are cheaper in the UK. How about focusing on actually real food like meat, fruit, vegetables. The things people need to buy, not obesity generating crap they can just pass on if they don't find the price attractive.

AND its pure media BS that Tim Tams are cheaper in the UK. FACT: They are more expensive.
I just looked up the online price from Tesco in the UK, 2.50 pound for a 163 gram pack. Coles online in Australia, $4.50 for a 200 gram pack. Convert 2.50 pound to A$ is $4.83.
Timtams in the UK: $4.83 for a 163 gram pack
Timtams in Australia: $4.50 for a larger 200 gram pack.

My brother in law stopped running cattle because it got too expensive for feed and energy. Thats why prices are high. People are so stupid when it comes to economics.

Businesses will always maximise product pricing to what the market will withstand or price their product to what the market pricing is.

Too many over mark up price here in not just supermarkets but other retails too because they don’t have choice as under current government, inflation is still unstable, under GDP targets maybe not have productivity growth, energy prices up and downs depends on inflation rates and bank interest rates which bring complete anxiety towards holders mortgages and investors plus if there’s domestic political waves that get influence from current foreign matters political instability too. 😌

Multinationals like Coles and Woolworths?

As a far right business owner, I doubt she has any problem with Australian owned companies ripping off consumers.
