That empty-net goal from their own end was a thing of beauty by Jack Eichel to finally get his 1st hat trick for the Vegas Golden Knights! It couldn't have happened at a better place and time! The chemistry on this team is incredible, you could see how the whole team was playing for Jack Eichel and how he gave his best for the team in return....

Revenge is a dish served cold!

So glad for Jack Eichel to be on a contender now, the sky is the limit for this team!

As we can see, Vegas is having a much better season this year than last. They have the best record in the league right now, and they are back to being the powerhouse Golden Knights we all remember.

Yes, I do still believe Vegas management has made some very poor decisions. They dumped so many of their original misfits, most notably Gallant and Fleury, in the absolute worst way, and definitely made some other bad moves in there too (another notable one being their failed attempt to trade Evgenii Dadonov). The Eichel trade was questionable at first, especially since he struggled last season and created a lot of cap issues (and, of course, he was injured for three months, which is a Segway towards my next point) but has improved big time so far this season and scored a hat trick tonight.

One other thing, however, that contributed to the Knights missing the playoffs last season, was their abundance of injuries. If there was one word to sum up the Golden Knights last season, it would be “unlucky”. To say that they had an abnormally high number of injuries would be an understatement, as they did not have a single player on the roster who played all 82 games.

So far this year, however, they’ve managed to stay healthy, which we all knew was going to be critical. That being said, hopefully it will stay that way. It is still early, and if they start having injuries again then they could be in trouble. I’m a Canes fan but I never like to see any team struggle, especially when this is a team in the opposite conference. I’m happy for the Golden Knights and hope their success continues throughout the season. Side note: my Canes also had a great night tonight, with Svech also getting a hat trick!

After last season, most of us thought the Knights were doomed. I saw so many comments saying they were headed for some dark days ahead. Many people laughed at me when I said "I actually believe that if the Knights can stay healthy this season they will have a huge bounce back." However, exactly that has occurred so far. Hopefully for them, it will stay that way.

i get the booing the first game but now its just classless. anyone who boo'd deserves this L. happy for jack, hope he does well in vegas. that being said the sabres gotta get out of this slump. November is not of to a good start.

I thought it was trashy to boo Eichel in his first return to Buffalo, but he then chirped the Sabres fanbase, justifying the boos today. That being said, last game, Sabres fans got their version of justice, this time? Eichel got his.
