As long as it is OLED and in a full screen (as full as apple does anyway) form factor and has a decent cpu and camera setup I could go for it. I hate the LCD on my iPhone 8 and I need to upgrade relatively soon.

I used to think the 5 series had the GOAT iPhone design. I now believe it's the 4/4S.

4/4S: *115.2* x 58.6 x 9.3 mm
5/5S/SE1: 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm

I wouldn't argue if people still say it's the slate 5 or space gray 5S/SE1 but looking at my black 4S vs. space gray SE1, I believe the 4S looks more appropriately proportioned. The 5 was an elongated 4. Look at the 8.6 mm difference in height. The 4 just felt right with one-hand. The 5 was over 20 g lighter but the 4 felt classier.

I prefer my headphone jack on the top. I never liked when Apple moved in at the bottom. The 4 looks classier from the front and back. I actually sold my SE1 I had for 2+ years last night. I really don't miss it. Whatever apps it had, my 7 and SE3 has them too. Same exact setups. It feels redundant owning multiple iPhones with the same exact apps and content.

My SE1's battery life was dying any way. Since updating to iOS 14 and 15, it destroyed battery life. Be getting 2-hour SOT or less using data. And apps are no longer optimized for a 4" screen like that. You'll find touch glitches or certain menu tabs not showing up. I think SE1 is so overrated by iPhone fans while they completely dismiss the SE3 because it looks no different than the 8/SE2. The SE1 was a third-time design too. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Selective outrage. Hypocrisy.

If I miss the SE1 enough, I can buy another one again. They sell them for dirt cheap. I owned it twice before. But like my HTC One M7 which I've owned twice, it's pointless. I can still use my 4S still on iOS6 with Cover Flow as an iPod. And battery life on the 4S is way better than my SE1 on iOS15. It can play certain games like Big Dai Di and Sonic All-Star Racing that can no longer played in later iOS versions.

Currently typing from my Essential PH-1. Man, this was silky smooth only 2 years ago. Some lag from just typing. When a phone reaches beyond 5 years, do they automatically start to lag? Pixel 3 is turning 5 this Oct and it still runs smooth. This is why never again supporting upstarts like Essential or Nothing. If it fails like Essential did, you're stuck with an old phone that's hard to repair or replace battery for it. And if you want to sell it, nobody wants it. Most casuals have never heard of the Essential Phone.

Just asked Siri and no the iPhone 14 an iPhone 14+ do not use a BOE OLED screen that’s crazy only android phones use that technology the iPhone has never used that just like saying the iPhone uses PWM displays for pulse width modulation that’s completely wrong it’s using a completely different technology. I know what pulse width modulation is and I can tell you by looking at the iPhone 14’s just for like 10 seconds or longer. They definitely don’t have that technology and they definitely don’t have BOE OLED screens. BECAUSE I WOULD TOTALLY BE ABLE TO NOTICE IT. I’VE LOOKED AT A BOE L E, D, AND MICRO LED AND MICRO LED AND MICRO OLED and they’re OLED technology And I’m telling you the standard 14s do not have it. You would be able to tell a difference especially if you put the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14+ next to the pro models and those do not have BOE OLED screens because those also don’t have it because they don’t have the right OLED technology for that device and how it would look they put the same screens as what’s in their pro models in the standard models but just a little bit less it’s a different screen technology completely both of them are so no no iPhone use as a BOE screen POE is an android manufacturer from China. Apple doesn’t use China anymore. They went away from that they wouldn’t go back. Plus everyone knows everything that comes out of. China is not good and products that’s why it’s used on android, that’s why it’s so cheap and their Chinese company you can never trust the Chinese they were the ones that made the vaccine in a lab for people to be an experiment on and it wouldn’t doubt me that everything in stores it has stuff from China in it as well because look at her she’s chocolate that’s why it taste so weird because it’s got metal in it and I’m pretty sure that metal came from China 100% which makes a lot of sense because it taste like crap and no wonder I got sick back in the day from eating it. I will never eat Hershey’s chocolate again fuck in Chinese arse horrible I hate the Chinese fuck them.

OLED will turn a lot of people off, those who are sensitive to PWM.
