Everytime I'm sad I come here and hear it cus this was a part of of childhood even with all it flaws the Anime made me feel every emotion in life

so basically what this anime is telling me is that humans have created:
1) a dyson sphere
2) efficient space travel
3) space modules/ living in space
4) giant mechas
but for some reason everyone is shocked to find out about auto-regeneration(which should have been created already) and treat it as witchcraft/ alien lifeforms... 
the prospects look bleak for the medical field =P

Can't help but love this opening. Glad the second season is looking up in terms of...practically everything. I wish they kept this for both seasons. :(

You know, being a huge fan of mecha anime, the weird thing about Valvrave the Liberator is that when I first started watching it, I have zero expectation about this anime. After finished watching it, I am neither disappointed, nor impressed, but for some reason I would sometimes catch myself ocassionally rewatch it, and as time goes on, I actually started enjoy rewatching it.

I think it has to do with the fact that this anime is really good at not overly disappointing you, but also really good at not overly impressing you. Of course there are obviously disappointing part in the plot and storytelling, and there definitely are geniunely impressive parts in the anime (I think the robot fight scenes are really, really good, they are some of my all time favourites). I especially love all the opening and ending songs in Valvrave.

Other than the obvious parts that are listed above, the rest of the anime is neither offensively bad nor outstandingly good, and I think that's why I'm quite comfortable rewatching Valvrave.

I think Valvrave has potential to be a really amazing and memorable mecha anime if it is given a chance to rewrite the plot and reorganize the storytelling. The biggest problem is that Valvrave has so much potential that the writers have no idea how to utilize such potential to the fullest.

Boy my taste is weird. Hope there are more Valvrave fans though. =)

I honestly wasn't expecting much from this anime after seeing many bad comments about it, but I surprisngly really enjoyed it and liked it. Though there were some plotholes, only one of them bugs me. The music is awesome too.And the animation.And L-Elf-sama~<3

Valvrave is my Guilty Pleasure. It had SO much potential but completely wasted it. But don't get me wrong i still love it, because if anything it did ONE thing right. Badass robot fights.

talk about a waste of good material. Machines that operate by taking away a person's humanity and slowly kill their pilot, a genius special forces soldier that is in love with a political hostage, a brutal war between factions that doesn't give a hoot about the geneva convention, catchy opening themes, and a secret order of wizards that secretly control humanity. All we need to do now is throw in a bunch of clueless, cliche, and annoying high schoolers to fuck up the entire show in order to keep things from being perfect.
