You emphasize in your video that the translation of certain modals into our own language is not a good idea and that there is no connection between the use of some modals like "must" ( 13:29 ) ; however, I am a native spanish speaker and have been an English teacher for a long time and I can tell you that you would be surprised how similar they behave. Debe estar enfermo (certainty or better assumption ) vs. Debes hacer tu tarea . ( obligation) ....exact same 2 functions as in Spanish !! ..and that is just one example... it goes on and on ...I could say that more than 80% of the times it is exactly the same thing... We also translate the 6 uses of "can " that you explained exactly the same way in Spanish!! It doesn´t change at all ! Thank you for your video. I liked your approach. For those of you who speak Spanish or want to learn Spanish ....don´t get so mixed up! Use your Spanish translation and you will see how easy it becomes... Bye!

Hii!!!!
Thank you teachers, i love this
I started learning English 3 months ago,
And i would like to know if "could not have" can be used to criticize someone for something that they did
For example :
"You could not have done it"
( It means that the person did it and they shouldn't have done it )

Does it work ?? Or am I wrong

Thank you for your answer !!

"Might" and "could" are two modal verbs that can sometimes be confusing, especially in speech. I'm working hard to learn how to use them better.
