You can also buy Hemp wick which works great, also you can pull the striker out of a Clipper lighter for a mini striker or buy them separately.
Hemp wick can also be wrapped around a mini bic which fits nice inside an altoids tin 👍

Using different diameters of jute twine and different braiding methods, I’ve made zipper pulls, lanyards, slings, belts and even pack straps. With endless uses, you always have tinder.

Great hack and hello from a fellow Ohioan! Btw Clipper brand lighters have a removable striker just like that you can remove and also replace the flint in and they can be refilled with butane.
