Vaterra Halix 1/10 Scale 4WD Monster Truck First run on 3S
So after running the Vaterra Halix on 2S, I thought it would be fun to try it out on 3S. Goodness, this thing came to life like nothing else... A bit of a handful, but oh, soooo much fun to drive.
Also, thought I would continue our game of guessing when I'm using AVC on or off, so have a go - it's just for fun.

This was my birthday gift when I was 10. I still use it today at 15. I love this car, I only have a few stock parts now. One complaint though is that the bulkheads are weak!! I can't find any metal ones either. I think it's time to retire it and get the Twin Hammers. I might have to put it up on the shelf and use it as a backup car.

Took my rustler VXL to the beach yesterday, didn't end well. All the ball bearing rusted and locked up, snapped driveshaft, broke the motor magnet in two, and the ESC went out in smoke. If you ever go to the beach with your rc cars, be prepared to buy new parts.

Again, another very physical beat down on a brand new product. I cant believe how well it stood up. That truck took sooo many hard landings time and time again bewtween the two videos. I actually cringed several times saying to myself it's not going to survive that hit....' and yet it kept going every time. I would mash the thumbs up button twice, but it won't work that way ;-)

After watching the unboxing video I was really hoping for some comparisons between AVC being turned off and on rather than trying to guess for ourselves, great video all the same.  Your videos on this truck are by far the most comprehensive I've seen and for that I am grateful.

On my halix I switched the wires on esc to motor fro a to c and c to a it screems now revers you throttle on radio after u switch the wires.they made a mistake on that truck the motors on the wrong side of truck causeing it to be reversed thus slowing it down a ton .anyways my brakes use to be so sensitive the truck would flip useing them not anymore there so nice now

Great video once again Vas! It looks to have plenty of power and I was going to say durability until the driveshaft blew but you really abused this truck. I think I found my next monster truck but I need to a bit more research on the Halix. What battery connections are those and does the truck come with a battery RTR. Great work as always Vas!
