Footloose is the original soundtrack of the Paramount motion picture Footloose. The original nine-track album was released in 1984 (see 1984 in music) and reached number one on the US Billboard 200 chart on April 21, 1984, where it stayed until June 30, 1984. When it was re-released in 1998, four bonus tracks were added to the album. In 2002, Sony International released the Australian Souvenir Edition (aka Australian Cast Special Edition). Two megamixes were added to the album, featuring the Australian cast of the Footloose musical. The original soundtrack contained six Billboard Hot 100 Top 40 hits, three of which reached the Top 10, including two number-one hits, Kenny Loggins' "Footloose" and Deniece Williams' "Let's Hear It for the Boy", and "Almost Paradise", a duet by Ann Wilson and Mike Reno that reached number seven.

Vaya rollo de remix. No lo digo por tí, que has colgado el tema de muy buena fe para los fans de esta película. Es que el tema original, aparte de un gran tema musical, es mítico para muchos de los de nuestra generación. Yo vi esta película en un cine local, de barrio, en un pueblito perdido de España, en 1985. Me acaba de hacer novia de mi actual marido y ésta fue la primera película que vimos juntos. Me encandiló Kevin Bacon porque me recordaba muchísimo a mi novio, y por tantísimas razones que los fans de esta película compartiréis conmigo. En fin, amo esta película; amo la música de los 80 (igual que amo música de géneros que van del lírico al heavys metal. No puedo explicar ni vida en 4 líneas, y menos en una red social. En fin, mañana nos vamos mi marido y yo a celebrar un aniversario. Besos para todo el que esté leyendo esto 😘
