Now we’ve got a big announcement to make… We think this might be the most important new car launched in 2021! Why, we hear you ask? Well in the UK, this car is SO popular! The question is, does the new version of the Qashqai have what it takes to keep up with its predecessor, as well as the competition? Well, it’s time to find out!

When it comes to design, it really mirrors a traditional crossover SUV look, and once you’re inside, you’ll find a load of new tech and more than enough room for transporting a family around.

When it comes to performance, there’s just the one engine to choose from - a 1.3-litre turbo petrol. You’ll be able to get it with either 138hp or 156hp, while the latter can also come with AWD.

That design is actually really clean to me

Really like this new model, think it's a good looking evolution modern enough with out being isolating. Interior upgrades look good too, with really decent spec lists available, driver aids and saftey kit. Also it's nice to see an SUV that's actually just being wat it shud be an SUV! Family friendly with all its functions easy to use for parents etc on the go while coping with a busy car full. Instead of all the new SUV's that are trying to be everything to everyone, sports car, coupe, and family SUV all rolled in to one. Problem is they never seem to nail the over all product. Nissan seem to have done well with the brief here, maybe not perfect, but better than some others, think this will continue to be the SUV Daddy!

I think Nissan done a better job with the Qashqai than the juke. I know you only get one engine in the new Qashqai but at least you get two power outputs, so you get a choice. The new 1.3 litre engine suits the Qashqai as it reduces emissions and improves fuel economy without loosing the benefit of having a manual gearbox.

We've just crossed the 250.000 km mark in our 2017 Qashqai 1.6 dCI Tekna, model 2014.... and it is still running like a charm.... and I did NOT spare it on the German Autobahn, where it has done _many_ top speed runs over the years going on vacation.
