It's a good thing they found a talented driver to help Chip Gnassi racing. And also Ryan Newman who has survived a huge crash at the end. Happy that he's alive and ready to race again.

But as for Matt, I don't have many concerns for him and the 2020 season going ahead. I think he's capable of competing for a championship if he is indeed granted a waiver. I wouldn't be surprised if Matt brings a win or two to the 42 this season.

Funny part is Matt Kenseth never retired. He performs quite well... but they don't let him stay.

Already heard the Kenseth News and this was the next suggestion. Newman is one of the last reasons I was still watching Racing, now there's Kenseth too. There are several other great veterans I enjoy but he new politically appointed sliced bread generation is worrisome. Buying a place in the sport is a slippery slope, that's what happened to hockey a long time ago. Thanks for posting.

I've always liked Kenseth but was hoping Chastain would have been given a shot. Maybe next year when things have returned to "normal". Let's not forget that the sponsors have a lot to say about who represents them as well.
