Ad Hoc Joint Committee on Flood Disaster Relief and Recovery, KwaZulu-Natal, 28 June 2023

The Ad Hoc Joint Committee on Flood Disaster Relief and Recovery will this week conduct oversight visits to some areas in the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) province that were impacted by floods that occurred this year.

The objective of the oversight visit is to allow the committee an opportunity to have a clear understanding of the extent to which the government has been able to provide assistance to the KZN province towards flood disaster relief and recovery from the 2022 floods and establish the amount of damage caused by the recent 2023 floods.
