a Marshall cameo as a judge if any of the characters got in some trouble

I had no issue with the mom being dead, I would have been shocked if the mom was still alive. Over the years they show hints that the mom was dead. Many fans knew the mom was dead. I think the biggest issue of the ending, that how to went to How I Met You, Mother, to "Can I date Aunt Robin."

i feel like the first cameo will probably be Robin since it’ll be the easiest to insert into the story/background. Robin is a famous reporter so it could be pretty easy to just have her on the TV or an ad on the side of a bus/train or on a poster in the subway in the background.

Ok, so HIMYM starts with a flash forward to 2030 and in the finale the daughter says that the mom "has been gone for 6 years". That means Tracy died in 2024, which gives us 2 years of Tracy still in the current timeline. I hope we get to see her again!!

Too bad the Barney being Sophie’s dad theory is impossible. Sophie turned 30 in 2022 which means she was born in 1992. In 1996, Ted, Marshal, and Lilly were just starting college so they were 14/15 when Sophie was born. Even if Barney is a couple years older than Ted, he didn’t lose his virginity until his 20s so it is impossible for him to be Sophie’s dad

This show got better after the first two episodes, in my opinion. The characters have started to gel together more, and the actors are getting more comfortable in their roles.

My theory - Sid and Hannah will break up/ divorce. They are being shown as Marshall and Lilly in new show but Hannah isn't a part of main group which makes me feel that it would end to show that not all good relationships work.

I think the casting of Kim Cattrall as the Older Sophie was perfect, I think she looks like Hilary Duff, I also have the strong sensation that Sid could be the father, the hints are subtle like Sid’s connection to Sophie’s mom, their conversation by the vending machine. Also I think The How I Met your Mother finale was Bad.

according to the timeline Tracy is alive and Ted & Tracy are married. It would be great if we got a cameo of both of them together

I wish they would include the 2 new owners of the Playbook and teach the new cast how Barney, a nameless guy for them, changed their lives.

Barney can't be Sophie's dad but could be her half brother. Barneys dad was a Roadie and Sophies mom a modal who would hang out with a lot of bands this could be another way of connecting the two shows

I feel like it’s gonna be one of those situations where the HIMYF gang are all gathered and something happens, and at the same time the HIMYM gang are all together looking over at at them and kind of being like “Hey look at them. That used to be us.”
I suck at explaining but I have a very clear picture in my mind of how I envision the scene to be and I’m not gonna lie, it’s a little emotional.

Even if the dad does end up also being dead at least we got to know him from the beginning so the impact would be more emotional

I hope the creators does listen to the fans from now on. And I don't want a sad ending with a dead father pls 😭 We didn't even see the son's appearance because the potential fathers are much more diverse compared to the himym mother candidates.

Anyway, I like Sid the most and currently rooting for him to be the father/endgame. It looks like his relationship with his current girlfriend won't last long too.

This show is getting better with time and I'm happy they have been renewed for season two with 20 episodes !!! 😀 That mean they have more time to engage with the most critical viewers

The last theory doesn't work out with Barney's age timeline from HIMYM, but I think it would be cool if Sophie's son ends up with Ellie (Barney's daughter) and HIMYF ends with both casts together at their Wedding

The pineapple incident from HIMYM should be addressed in HIMYF. I hope in the future we get to see some of the characters from HIMYM in HIMYF.

Hannah is the Captain’s daughter. I remember Zoe saying she bought a gift for Hannah during a Thanksgiving episode. Also, Sid is the dad. There is a black and white picture of someone behind her. Half their face is cut off. But based on the skin tone and half the face, it could be a picture of Sid or the son. In which case, the son is biracial, thus narrowing it down to Ian or Sid.
