Ford CEO Makes HUGE MISTAKE, Now Dealers CAN'T SELL TRUCKS!

Ford's CEO and dealerships are in BIG TROUBLE. The flagship F 150 truck is having huge problems. This makes trucks like the Toyota Tundra, Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet trucks and RAM more desirable. Is it still worth it to buy Ford F 150? 2023 is already shaping up to be a huge mess for Ford. Several F-150 Lightnings went up in flames while sitting in a Dearborn Michigan parking lot. The Ford Bronco seems to have a new recall every few weeks. And New Ford Trucks are just sitting on dealer lots as long as 746 days. Ford dealers are in big trouble and CEO Jim Farley seems to be in complete denial that anything is actually going wrong with the brand.

100k for a POS full of recalls forcing us to use the dealership for service that can't even tie their own shoes. No thanks.

90k for an Expedition is absolutely insane. Car manufacturers have gone off the rails with their prices.

It's like the industry decided since people are living in their vehicles we might as well charge the price of a house.

This is across the board. I’m tired of the “there’s a shortage” no there isn’t. I work at a dealership. Some are just scummy.

As a decades long employee, I can say that we employees are part of the problem. It used to be that you got hired in, and you did your best. Now they hire Temps, treat everyone like trash, pay people nothing. Why should they care?

I love seeing all these dealers (all brands) having so many cars on their lots. Drive up the cost to consumers and this is what happens. This is great to see.

Great video, It’s completely insane, older trucks are better than new trucks. This is no longer nostalgia. They needed to get back to basics - simple vehicles made well.

Price gouging is, I hope, going to be the downfall of most over priced CEO's across all industries.

When I worked at a Ford plant over forty years ago; many of my coworkers informed the company of various design and mechanical flaws and the company just ignored their concerns. Instead; when the company explained the huge layoffs of the early 1980's, they blamed the workers of having drug and alcohol problems for the cause of their faulty cars and trucks.

The comment about high end luxury vehicles is spot on. I worked construction and contracting for years and the only things I wanted in a truck were RELIABILITY/DURABILITY, power steering brakes, a/c heat, power windows. I didn't need power seats, I adjusted my seat the day I picked up the truck and it didn't move until I sold it. Same as power mirrors, power adj pedals, colour changing LEDs adaptive cruise, lane assist back up cameras blah blah blah blah blah.

Always was a Ford truck buyer, bought quite a few Pickups and Econoline Vans when I was in business. Retired now and was looking to replace my 1995 F250, work truck. I could not find a 150 on the lot that was under 65k, all were 4x4 and 4 door trucks. I would think a few basic trucks without all the options would still sell if they were on dealers' lots. They had a couple 150's in the showroom over 100k, I guess I need to keep the '95.

I couldn’t help but notice how far away they park the other vehicles from the Lightning, just in case it bursts into flames.

$30k needs to be the target price for new vehicles. The car manufacturers are insane with these 6 figure prices.

"Ford CEO makes massive damaging decisions!" This CEO will still walk away with a contractual 57 million dollar golden parachute! If I make bad decisions at work, I just get fired! ☹️

The thing is, all cars/trucks shipped to dealerships are considered sold in the company statistics. So the CEO is not going to feel it till they have to buy back all the unsold vehicles. Unless they decide not to.

I thought it was insane back when trucks and cars initially went over 30k. When they did I started buying used/newer vehicles to get a deal. Now even the used/newer vehicles are over 30k. Screw that. I just spent 10k replacing the motor in my 2005 model, and I will replace it again in another 18 years if I need to. Car manufacturers can go straight to hell.

Another thing I would like to mention. My buddy who is an automobile mechanic recently expanded his operation and purchased a new building because the smart people are fixing and maintaining the cars they already own. He has hired 3 other mechanics and a detailer. Business is booming for him and I am happy to see him doing well.

I went to the dealer over the weekend. Dealer offered me the car for 60K out the I counter offered with 27K and called it a market adjustment. He laughed and then walked over to the next customer. I dont understand what was so funny. I just offered what the car is worth.

Unfathomable that a company can lose billions on a product year over year and not cancel it.

I remember when i used to work at a ford dealer back in 2015-2017, when the focus RS was being released in the states with a price tag of 42k, i asked one of the salesman why it was so damn expensive for a focus and he said "someone will buy it". Thats always been the problem, even at these astronomical prices, someone will buy it.
