My boyfriend doesn't like to read but likes the aesthetic of Junji Ito's work. I made him watch the Netflix adaptation of the Lover Balloons story and he was intrigued. Made him watch the first episode of Uzumaki, I hyped the series so much...now he's asking for the second episode and I'm ashamed to show it to him ahahahah

(Edit: It’s just speculation but considering this series was in development around the same time David Zaslov started canceling projects for Warner bros discovery I wouldn’t be surprised)

I’m glad at least that episode 3 was better than episode 2.

The anime’s low quality compelled me to finally read the original, so it’s fresh in my mind and I’m morbidly curious at how they handle the finale given how much happens in it.

I am holding only a glimmer of hope that they handle the dismount, esp. the very final scene.

First episode was so good that I immediately recommended this anime to my friend. Although I still liked episodes 2 and 3, only one can wonder what my friend thinks of me now…

Ok so listen. The first episode didn’t necessarily get “more funding” than episode 2. They had 2 different directors for each episode which I think was a mistake. I can appreciate the creators trying to give Multiple directors and animators get their time to shine but in this instance it didn’t work. Episode three looks like the quality of an in between 1 and 2 honestly it looks far more promising!
