The current sunspot group is very concerning. A similar pattern firmed on a distant star that resulted in a super powerful flare either a planet killing CME. The star was a bit more volatile than ours is, being a red dwarf, but the flare itself was peaking over X1000 in intensity and lasted for weeks. The CME was ejected from the region surrounded by the sunspots.

I drove Seniors from 1990 to 2012. One paticular day in 1997, The Seniors all said the same thing getting on My bus "Gee the Sun is awefully bright today!"
It has been get more intense from that day, now it burns through My clothes, its alarming, I hope it doesnt get worse.
