Bought the turbo a month ago. To those contemplating on buying, I can really say it is money well spent. If you can stretch your budget a little bit then do your self a favor and go for the turbo. I would like to add that the driver's seat on the turbo can be height adjusted (manually) and there is the power mode and sport mode("manual") for the turbo, both of which performs a bit differently from just using the automatic drive mode. I have tried all modes on a long ride with long and some extremely inclined uphill climbs (4 passengers including driver) and the car performed beyond my expectations, no hesitation at all. The turbo unit doesn't necessarily turn on all the time so the car can essentially be driven as if it was only a 1.0L but almost has the power of a 1.5L engine available when needed. Great review as always.

-"They both have 4 wheels" - that got me sir Caco, so witty!😆

Yeah. If we stick to what the cars were originally designed for, the NA version is the more appropriate fit. Personally, I would go Turbo if I'm a person who travels in and out of Manila via tollway or skyway. But if you live within Metro Manila and travel mostly within it, the NA would be more beneficial because of fuel economy.

Ngl, Caco already nailed the review from the start 😆

On a more serious note, this is one hell of a detailed review. There is much more commentary which some would hate but I absolutely love, made the review feel more natural. How Caco really tested the two vehicles is commendable, the effort the whole team, Jack and the others included. Again, showed the pros and definitely the honest cons that most people and reviews hide away from the public.

Another job well and spectacularly done by the AD team, no doubt the channel I trust the most as of this moment.

Nice comparo between the 1.0 turbo and 1.2 G. Hopefully the 1.2 E manual transmission gets some love too <3 It's surprisingly good value for money considering all the features included for a "base model" Toyota.

I bought the turbo variant of daihatsu rocky. Here in Pakistan the turbo is definitely worth spending extra money on because there is an yearly tax on engines above 1L capacity. Love the car and all its features.

definitely one of the best and detailed review on the Raize G and Turbo variant. No sugarcoating added and is very honest on the performance of the car. I'd still go for Turbo even with that price diff.

I really enjoyed this video as this is the comparison I need. You have convinced me to spend the extra peso’s on the Turbo model, thanks !

Well for me, .If ever I have the buck! I'm definitely going for the blue 💙 pill (turbo)

Since it's more relaxing, .And it's boat loads of safety features too lacking a 360° or back cam at least, , ..You've got parking sensor front and back as well as airbags (side and front)

Plus points too, .Is those two-toe wheels! Na dagdag pogi points or ganda points narin

As for the latter the red ♥️ pill (the G) duon, .Sa wheels niya ay muhkang basic narin

So yeah, .I'm definitely! Going for the blue 💙 pill

👍😉👍

Twas great that your able to test the CVT in a steep incline road. But still I'll go for a traditional automatic or a manual for good pickup in that situation and as always it was a great review.

I will be commuting from the city to our farm and a small portion of our commute will be on a questionably managed gravel road. I wanted the larger R17 tires and higher ground clearance of the Raize (8 in) to deal with imperfect roads. Also we have limited space for parking in the city so a Conquest 4 x 4 was not a consideration. So the Raize is a good compromise for us and ~ 1M was my max budget.

My wife and I really liked the additional safety features that come with the turbo (BSM, RCTA, rear passenger airbags). She usually challenges me for every peso and I was expecting her to insist on the cheapest model but she was all in on the more expensive turbo. They only have a yellow turbo on the floor now but I expect to order Turquoise blue turbo this week.

Edit: I agree with the author that it would have noteworthy to have rear passenger vents for aircon - this is the Philippines. Our tester forgot to use his paddle-shifters and manually shift on steep slopes 😁

Quality content!

Please do consider doing comparo with the manual variant as well. That’s the literal bang for the buck.

I got a chance to see the Raize Turbo in person and it's actually bigger than I Seeing that it is always being referred to as a tiny tiny car... Great reviews.

Hello po. if you guys want a steep road for your test drives, there's a place here in Angono called mahabang parang, I think the official name of the road is Don Mariano Santos Ave. Thank you for the detailed review of the 2 variants of Raize.
