The damage is done and a reason why "woke politics" should be something to be adverse to no matter what, and why Square-Enix and any business should never cater to this mob of 'modern audiences' that will NEVER buy the game. It brands your product down a polarizing line, even if it turns out not to be true. You push everyone else away that simply want to play a game wihtout feeling subverted and manipulated down a political road.

Were it a different time when you didn't have Far Left politics trying to overturn everything about gaming past 2000s, Forspoken might have had a more forgiving reception and even gain a second-wind through a Greatest Hits re-release or something.

You can blame the activists and terminally online degenerates for ruining what is IYO a solid game because they just can't help themselves in making everything a culture war issue. This is the same group that will come after you if you play Hogwarts Legacy, and all the more reason never to give into the woke mob.
