The medium fits the body better in the midsection and shoulders. I have this problem all the time. I have broad shoulders which forces me to size up more compared to the rest of my body especially now that I’m getting back into shape. Every brand cuts their clothes differently and it drives me crazy cause it always looks too loose or too tight. 😅

Sizes such as Medium and Large mean little .. if they are mass produced, even two Mediums of the same brand may sometimes fit slightly differently I'll try more than one of the same size in the store.

I'm lucky to hit on something off the rack that fits, so I've spent some bucks visiting a tailor worth it

I am tall and somewhat on the slimmer side. I wear nothing larger than a medium. Not tight but snug fitting clothes look the best on me. Even jackets, over shirts, etc are really right to size. I used to buy clothes that were too big for me and that’s the worst, seems have to be right on the shoulder and that’s how I know a good fit.
