John is like a deep hole in the ground, that once you fall into, there's no getting out of it. I've been listening to John every day for the past 2 and a half years. Every single day. All day. He inspired me to play guitar. I started playing just after I started listening to him, and I'm already getting nearly as good as my friends who've been playing for almost 10 years, and I'm still eager to learn anything I can. John is a blessing.

I have two guitar heroes in this era, John Mayer and Synyster Gates. Of course I love legends like Steve Vai, Tommy Emmanuel, Eric Clapton, Eric Johnson, B.B King and the other old guards. But as I’m younger these two just speak to me the most
