That "do I look like I speak squirrel?" was a nice touch, given that Twilight's VA voiced Bubbles, who did speak squirrel.
They didn't go where I expected with the episode. I thought Fluttershy's animal friends (well, the ones who could fly) would join in the tornado to help out, the lesson would be that everyone had different strengths, etc. But that might have made her seem a little too helpless, even for Fluttershy.

The visual of the eyes and Fluttershy perfectly describes how I feel whenever I am out and doing things. Not a good feeling when anxiety and loss of confidence gets in the way.

Yay, this is one of my favorites of season 2! Dash is actually my least favorite of the Mane Six, there is a line between confidence and arrogance, and she crosses that line too often in my opinion. But this episode shows how she genuinely can be a good friend, and I loved how she was so aware of Fluttershy’s feelings and yet knew that despite her not being a good flyer, she was capable of this. And yeah, her directing Spitfire’s attention to Fluttershy was an awesome touch.

Cool coincidence, last saturday's episode featured Thunderlane and his little brother Rumble in a major role.

This is one of my favorite Season 2 episodes, not only because it's a great development of Dash since "Dragon Shy", but it also hits pretty close to home for me. Namely, Fluttershy's anxiety. That scene when she breaks down and cries always breaks my heart because it's so real. It makes the ending of her overcoming her trauma all the more satisfying and empowering.
Also, my own nickname for Bulk Biceps is "Reb Brown Pony".

One of best episode of the Season 2. Good plot, good Fluttershy and many new ponies with interesting design. And creepy scenes.
6:42 Is really weird listen Rumble's original voice after "Marks and Recreation" from the last week.

I did appreciate your critique here. It reminded me of a few different situations where I had to say things of that sort
"I know this episode wasn't decided to this character, but you can see so much growth in him/her here!"

It's quite something when a character can display progress, while not being given the first-role.

This was definitely one of my favorite Fluttershy episodes. Great review/summary. The eyeballs scene creeped me out the first time I saw it.

Now that the movie has come out, are you going to see it in theaters?

Huh I just realized Thunderlane apparently also became a Wonderbolt... don't know when but he went from "just coughing and be commented on" guy to actually being a Wonderbolt with an actual role in the latest episode. I do have to wonder about things like that and how intentional they are for this show.

I'm still wondering to this day if Rumble's name is an intentional Transformers reference or just a coincidence.
