THANK YOU for ACTUALLY giving your own opinion and not some open ended review. My minds made up now!

Clear and concise. Making the decision to go with the 810, I have asked them to send along a sales commission check to your paypal. Much more knowledge than my local dealer, but that is really not a surprise.

Thanks for another great review - albeit necessarily brief for such a feature-packed camera! (and your D800 review covers many of them in more depth)
Let's not forget one other thing - anyone upgrading to the D810 from a DX-format camera can happily use their DX lenses in the 'auto-DX-crop' mode and still get super-sharp 24MP images, all without changing any settings. To me, that's like buying an upgraded FX body and getting a top-end DX body thrown in for free.
For those like me, moving up from a D300 and having a few DX-specific lenses, this was an important point, since I can upgrade my glass over time, rather than having to reinvest all at once.
A great camera - I look forward to making some great images with it!

Thanks for your practical advice and your obvious and unembarrassed love of the tech. Your reviews are some of my favorites. I just ordered a refurbished one as an upgrade from my 15 year old D200. I tried a D7200 but I missed the feel of the bigger camera and have wanted an FX camera for a while.

Thank you for this D810 video! I got mine last year from Nikon and it has been a joy. Your reviews are very similar to my experience with the D810 I appreciate you sharing. I'm now trying to decide which lens to purchase the new 24-70 or the current 24-70. I'm sure either will give me great results with the D810.

Great video! Thanks a lot for this! I am a proud owner of the D700 and right now I do not intend to buy another higher end Nikon. But it is certainly interesting to see what the later models have to offer .... .

I usually don't comment on videos but every pro photographer on youtube says the same thing, "you can take a good picture with a cheaper camera." What they don't tell you is it has to be perfect conditions. I use to own a 7D and when taking photos in a gym, there was no going beyond 1000 iso and cropping the picture. With a more expensive camera like the D810 you don't have to be perfect with your framing you can crop the heck out of your picture and it still looks nice and sharp even at iso 6400. Way easier to get really nice pictures with a more expensive camera, WAY EASIER.

Hi, Q&A here - How do you deal with shooting in wet weather? Like rain, snow, fog? I know I miss a ton of great shots because I'm afraid a simple sandwich bag or something (which a lot of people recommend) won't work. In terms of moisture and condensation, what is your approach? Thanks in advance, I love your videos and as an amateur I have learned much from you.

The only thing i think to be wrong with your description is when you talk about the electronic front curtain. Where in a mirrorless camera my understanding is that it can always be an electronic front curtain, but the D810, according to the manual, is only an electronic front curtain during mirror lockup. not a big deal but want to make sure people are fully aware of that function. Thanks for some great videos all around though

this camera is AWESOME Just make sure you have that money ready for those fast CF cards. A sandisk 64gig 160mb card is $149 + tax in some states. And the Sd card is around $80 for the similar version. They do become expensive after a while. Just something to think about

I love my D810 and am still amazed at the great pictures that are created with it.  Do you know off hand if you can change out the viewfinder to a spit level finder like you could with the old Nikon F2AS cameras?  I am trying to pick a great Super-Wide but I hate that you need to spend another $300-500 for filters & holder if you use the Nikon 14-24 2.8:-(
I have heard that the Nikon 16-35 F4 is sharp but loads of dis. correctable in LR though.
Tokina has a pretty cost effective Super-Wide Zoom.  Decision, decisions.

Very nice, I might save for the D820 if they go either dual SD or XQD . Rarely I do see a D800/810 tripod mounted, the supposed image motion blur from the hi red sensor doesn't bother you?
