Okay, here's what some of you may not understand. When a singer has to sing all of their songs 300 times a year, they have to find ways to keep their voice healthy. There's probably only select shows where she hits those higher notes. Also taking the songs down to what we call a half step or one fret down on the guitar is not uncommon.
I've done it when I was sick and knew my limits and had to try and last a whole set without loosing my voice. People seem to be spoiled by the perfect pitches they hear from studio recordings. In a live setting, so many other things are factors: Can you hear yourself over the band, over the crowd. Each room has different acoustics as well and if you don't sound good to yourself, it can make you nervous and weaken your voice some. Also adrenaline effects you as well. Anyway, I could go on. She simply pacing her self to last the entire tour. So kudos to her. She knows what she's doing.

Oh she is not singing on the original key buhuhu... Give her a brake, at least she is not auto-tuned. Her voice is original, she is likable and kind. Her music has meaning and messages to pass to people. Many singers can't provide us with the original songs when live and come to think that's obvious. Studio records are made solely to be likable to the ear thus sell a lot! Other than that, I think she performed great at this live!

Wow! I can't quite believe that there is so much 'hate' for taking the song down a SEMI-tone?! It was a rather wonderful live performance and she gets dissed for a semi-tone?
Anyone who knows anything about music will tell you the greatest artists will take things down even a third, Garland, Minelli, Streisand, Celine Dion and Whitney even at the top of her game, they all take the pitch down for live performances. See Julie Andrews interview about the original keys of the Sound of Music. Jeez even Mozart's Queen of the Night gets transposed down. I would rather a great live version down a semi-tone than lip-synch.

The way she can manipulate her voice to ensure she takes care of it is splendid... don't care what anybody says... she's smart. It's as simple as that! She sounds stellar.

So what if she can't do the original tune!
Not every singer can be perfect.
Like another comment pointed out at least she isn't auto tuned and her voice is original.
One comment said she can't sing her own song properly.
Of course she can, it's her song so she can't really sing her own song wrong because she created it so she knows how it is supposed to go and sound like.
Just stop the hate
She is a good singer and has a great moral in her songs, can't you people just respect the fact that she has a great voice and she shouldn't be getting hate just because she is singing at a different tune !!

Artists have changed arrangements for live shows for decades. Some will be the original and some are altered. It all depends on how they structure the show.

I for one think she's a very promising artist. Unique voice and more importantly, she can sing live and sound just as good as the studio recordings.

All of you saying that she brings it down, I honestly can't tell the difference. Not many "singers" actually sound like their radio single. I love artists who can sing without autotune and that's what she's doing. She's perfect.
